Company History
Mitashi was founded as Maze Marketing in the year 1991 by Rakesh Dugar and Hasmukh Gada. The company started as a distributor of video games, game cartridges and telephone equipment. It was also the exclusive distributor of Sega video games from Japan. Maze Marketing was renamed Mitashi in the year 1998 when the company launched its own television video games like Contra and Mario, and talking educational computers.
Mitashi became popular for its television video games and soon expanded its offerings to handheld video games, kid’s cameras and art sets. In the year 2004, Mitashi entered the consumer electronics market by launching India’s first DIV-X and progressive scan DVD players. By the year 2009, Mitashi was selling its gaming products under GameIn brand and educational and musical toys under Skykidz brand.
Mitashi launched flat panel televisions in October 2010, followed by remote-controlled cars for kids in 2014, air conditioners and indoor/outdoor toys in 2015 and washing machines in 2016.
