Company History

CTS was founded in 1994 in Chennai, India as a joint venture between Dun & Bradstreet and Satyam Computers. It was initially named Dun & Bradstreet Satyam Software and was established to provide IT development services for the operational needs of Dun & Bradstreet. However, the company started serving external clients as well from 1996 onwards.

Cognizant Corporation split into IMS Health and Neilsen Media Research in the year 1998. Cognizant Technology Solutions became a subsidiary of IMS Health. Subsequently, the company expanded its offerings in application development, IT consulting and outsourcing. CTS became an independent entity in the year 2003.
