VLCC was founded in the year 1989 by Vandana Luthra in New Delhi. It started as a single beauty and weight management services centre. The company became a corporate entity in the year 1996 as VLCC Health Care Limited. In the next four years, VLCC grew into a chain of wellness and beauty clinics. Its weight management programs were endorsed by the Indian Medical Association.
